Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Mlekpol as one of the largest employers in the region has been strongly involved in beneficial activities for the local community. Particular attention is paid to the youngest and sports teams.
For 9 years Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Mlekpol organised Children’s Days in Kolno and Grajewo, the event addressed primarily to the children of farmers – milk producers. The main aim was to promote a healthy lifestyle with an emphasis on rational nutrition, physical activity and eco-friendly activities. In 2018 Mlekpol proposed to hold the Children’s Day event in a new formula: primary schools of Grajewo poviat received packages with milky presents, which were prepared not only out of consideration for children’s health, but also having in mind educational and fun purposes. SM MlekpolL has also supported local sports clubs of Wissa Szczuczyn, Warmia Grajewo and Ślepsk Suwałki, supplying these football teams with equipment and clothing.
All 12 plants of Spółdzielnia Mleczarska Mlekpol actively provide assistance to local initiatives and events. A constant element of this aid is the supply of regional dairy products by the Mlekpol’s branches.
Mlekpol publishes its own periodical addressed to its employees and cooperating milk producers. Since 2002, on the initiative of the Board and with the support of the Supervisory Board, the magazine “Echo Mlekpol” has been issued. The readers can enjoy reports on current events, interviews with the management and employees of Spółdzielnia. There are also dietary tips, articles promoting healthy eating and original recipes.
