Description and Recipe

The cheese platter with the favourite types of cheese and the extras emphasizing their taste will be an excellent serving for every party. We suggest composing the platter from the varieties of cheese produced by SM MLEKPOL. It should not be lacking in Jantar long-ripening cheese. We also recommend the Dutch-style cheese: Senator Gouda, Gouda with pepper and Gouda with spices. Perfect complements to the gamut of cheeses will be those of the Swiss type as: Ementaler or Królewski z Kolna. Finally, Smoked Gouda and Rolada Ustrzycka will accentuate the final flavour.

The selection should be served on a large wooden board of a carefully chosen shape. Alternatively, it can be served on a stone board or a flat plate.

For about an hour before serving, the cheeses should be taken out of the fridge to gradually reach room temperature. Then, they will acquire their distinctive flavour and characteristic proper texture.

Cut the cheeses into small triangular portions, such as a cake. Roll up the slices of cheese. Arrange them on the platter according to your own invention decorating with a variety of extras such as: walnuts, slices of apples, the quarters of pear. Ripened cheese blend perfectly with wine.

Start the tasting with cheeses of the mildest flavour and end with the most distinctive one.
