Plenty of attractions, excellent fun, delicious refreshments and all this in the fabulous natural scenery! The Mrągowska Buttermilk brand celebrated its 20th anniversary of being present on the market. In the Maślanka Mrągowska Town, especially built for this occasion, on the first Saturday of July, during the annual Mrągowo Days, in the area of Mrągowo’s Ekomarina, Mlekpol organised a large open family picnic.
The event was honoured by the presence of authorities of Mrągowo’s county, municipality and town. The celebrations of the Mrągowska Buttermilk Jubilee were opened by Otolia Siemienic, Mayor of Mrągowo and Edmund Borawski, Chairman of SM MLEKPOL’s Board.
”I hope that Mrągowska Buttermilk Day will permanently enter the calendar of events in our city,” declared Siemieniec, Mayor of Mrągowo.
The welcoming toast was raised with Mrągowska Buttermilk also by Antoni Karaś, Mragowo County Governor and Marcin Piwowarczyk, director of the Dairy Production Plant in Mragowo.
The guests who came to the anniversary event could, among other things, prepare their dream buttermilk cocktail, take advantage of dietary advice, attend dance and sports workshops as well as watch live cooking shows. In the special Children’s Zone, the youngest ones could take part in outdoor games and sports activities, culinary workshops as well as art and recycling classes.
Marcin Budynek – one of the most recognized Polish chefs, founder of the Culinary Academy and the Chefs’ Club, cooked for all participants of the Mrągowska Buttermilk birthday event. His culinary performance attracted great interest. Picnic guests had a unique opportunity to learn how to prepare delicious buttermilk fritters, buttermilk mojito or grilled chicken breast macerated in buttermilk.
The event was enriched by conversations with Mlekpol’s special guests. An open-air studio was visited by prof. Andrzej Babuchowski, president of the Institute of Dairy Industry Innovation, Zdzisław Marcinkowski, creator of the first Mrągowska buttermilk, Anna Pichała and Tadeusz Szczęsny. The ambassadors of the campaign – I’m special. I carefully choose what I eat – whose Mrągowska Buttermilk is the prime reference, SM MLEKPOL’s employees: Teresa Kossakiewicz, Agnieszka Skrzyńska, Marta Loch and Dariusz Choromański talked about their participation in this extraordinary project.
The event was hosted by a well-known and popular radio and television journalist – Krzysztof Jankowski, Jankes.
